The data protection consultant
Article. 9 of the future law on data protection provides for the figure of the data protection consultant. The role of the consultant is to provide training and advice to the data controller and participate in the execution of data protection provisions.
A controller who has appointed a data protection consultant can avoid having to consult the Federal Data Protection Officer if it emerges from the data protection impact assessment that, despite the measures provided by the controller, the intended processing presents a high risk to the personality or fundamental rights of the data subject.
